As a parent, I'm sure you feel like your children change and grow so fast. I love preserving these moments for you so you can remember the season you are in. We don't often take time to stop and savor the moments, but when you book a family session you are able to do just that. It's like stopping time for just a little bit!
I love helping my clients pick their outfits (I even have a client closet you can use!) and teach them how to pose. Your session will be a mix of posed photographs and candid interactions. Because I know everyone feels a little awkward at first, we always start with a few poses. But don't worry! You'll be feeling like yourselves in no time, and I'll be there to capture those in-between moments too.

Booking times vary; it’s best to book 2-3 months in advance. For newborn sessions or special requests, I can sometimes accommodate bookings even a week in advance. I’m flexible and do my best to accommodate client schedules, including weekdays and weekends.

How far in advance should I book a session?

Photos are typically delivered within 1-2 weeks. I strive to send them as early as possible, but if there’s a delay, I'll keep you informed every step of the way.

What is your turnaround time for delivering photos?

I aim to deliver a variety of shots without duplicates, typically ending up with around 200 carefully selected photos. I understand the importance of each photo, so I make sure to provide a rich selection of poses and moments. I don't want you to have to agonize over choosing just a few!

How many photos do you typically deliver in a gallery?

During the colder months, I offer indoor sessions at professional studios, for which clients are responsible for the rental fee. Additionally, I have a space set up in my home available twice a month. This home studio is carefully prepared and available for two consecutive days to make the most of the setup.

To secure a date for your session, a signed contract and a $100 deposit are required. This process ensures that both parties have a clear understanding and agreement.

what does your booking process look like? Do i need to pay any money up front?

If it’s raining, we can reschedule the session. I typically make a call about the weather 2 hours before our session to decide. However, if you’re up for it, we can get creative with rain photography!

What happens if it rains on the day of our outdoor session?

I am based in Markham and most of my sessions are nearby, but I am willing to travel if discussed beforehand. Travel fees apply and vary depending on the location. For example, I’ve traveled up to 45 minutes for a special beach session requested by a client.

Do you travel for sessions, or do you have specific locations where you shoot?
q:
I prefer to schedule photo sessions in the morning between 8-10 AM or in the afternoon around 4 PM. These times allow for optimal natural light which is crucial for creating the best images.

What time of day do you prefer for photo sessions?

My rate is $380 per hour for up to one hour of shooting. Please note that studio fees are additional, but sessions at my home studio are included. Travel to your location is available with a fee based on distance.

I have a client closet featuring a collection of gowns and children’s clothing that look stunning in photos. I recommend coming early to your session to choose and change into your outfits. For men, I suggest wearing something comfortable and neutral as I have limited options for men. This approach ensures everyone looks and feels their best!
