Hello! I’m Laura, and I’d love to share with you how I stumbled into the beautiful world of photography. It all began with a surprise gift from my dad. During one of his rare visits from China, he brought me my very first DSLR camera. At the time, I didn’t realize that this camera would change my life.

I began photographing families when my husband and I were engaged and strapped for cash, so we couldn’t afford professional engagement photos. Instead, we took a chance with my new camera and a tripod, wandering through the stunning landscapes of the West Coast, capturing our love through our own lens. Those moments not only marked the beginning of our life together but also sparked my deep affection for photography.
When my first child was born, my camera became my companion. We drove through countless road trips, just the three of us, and every new place we explored added layers to our family story, with each photo a cherished memory. As our family grew—four kids, all two years apart, three boys and a girl—I continued to capture every fleeting moment.
It wasn’t until the summer of 2020, during the quiet solitude of COVID-19, that I took a bold step. I started taking photos for others while on maternity leave with my second child. Starting with mini-sessions, I began building a client base. Those initial clients, many of whom still return for sessions, have shown me incredible trust and support, allowing me to turn my passion into a thriving career.

After college, my love for adventure took me from Toronto to Vancouver, where I met my husband. The birth of our first child sparked a desire to reconnect with family, leading us back to Toronto. Now, my children enjoy growing up surrounded by family, something I always wished for myself.

I’ve always been drawn to the joy of making people smile, both in my personal life and through my lens. Even as I ventured into photographing weddings and events, which paralleled my early career in event management, I found myself gravitating towards family and motherhood photography.
I believe every mom should have a chance to be in the frame, not just behind the camera. That’s why I always make sure to include moms in our sessions, ensuring they too have memories captured with their little ones.
